Tanto Meto and Devonte heading to Atlanta; RDX off to Japan — and much more

Country music teen superstar Taylor Swift is tops on the Billboard album chart this week. Her album Fearless sold over 592,000 copies to take over the number one spot on the Billboard 200. 12 songs from the album debuted this week on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. American Idol runner-up David Archuletta debuts at number two with his debut album which sold 183,000 copies in its opening week.

RDX to embark on Japan tour

Dancehall duo RDX will embark on a tour of Japan in December to promote their recently released album for Universal Japan. The duo is known for hits including Everybody Dance, Daggering and Dancers Anthem. The duo is set to shoot the video for its latest singles Daggering and Bend Over. The video will be directed by Rick Elgood.

Tanto Metro and Devonte heading to Atlanta

Tanto Metro and Devonte are heading to Atlanta, Georgia for a performance on November 26. The duo will be performing at the third anniversary celebration of the weekly dancehall session Rave Wednesdays. Tanto Metro and Devonte are working on a new album project for release sometime next year.

Anthony Red Rose releases video for No AK Love

No AK Love is the name of the latest video from singer Anthony Red Roze, who is best known for songs including Tempo, Boom Bye Bye, and Intimate
He will be releasing his first album in 10 years, My Name is Red Roze through Zojak World Wide. The 16-track disc contains conscious lyrics as well as songs that deal with matters of the heart.

Okay, so TI’s smash hit Live Your Life featuring Rihanna is locked at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Taken from TI’s sixth studio album Paper Trail, Live Your Life is the third number one hit for TI. The song contains a rendition of the O-Zone song Dragostea Din Tei, mostly known in the United States for the Numa Numa Internet fad, but a number one single throughout Europe. However, the opening in Live Your Life was changed to Ma Ya Hi, Ma Ya Ha, Ma Ya Hoo, Ma Ya Ha Ha, due to licensing issues or a misconception.

DID YOU KNOW

Did you know that American actress Jasmine Guy who played the role of Whitley Gilbert in the television series A Different World, released an album and even had songs on the Billboard charts?

Guy who also starred in the film Klash which was shot here in Jamaica in the 1990′s, released her self-titled album in 1990 on Warner Bros Records. The album contained the chart hits Try Me, Another Like My Lover, and the biggest charting single of her career, Just Want to Hold You, a number three Billboard R&B chart hit featuring James Ingram.
